Today, on World NGO Day, we mark the remarkable impact of Non-Governmental Organizations worldwide! Also known as World Non-Governmental Organization Day, it’s observed on February 27th each year. This day serves to recognize the efforts and achievements of non-governmental organizations worldwide in their work towards promoting social justice, human rights, and sustainable development.
NGOs play a crucial role in many important causes, and one of the most pressing issues of our time is environmental protection. From conservation efforts to sustainable development projects, many NGOs are at the forefront of preserving our planet for future generations.
EU4Green therefore involves the NGO sector in its activities devoted to the implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. This collaboration underscores the power of collective action in tackling environmental issues and promoting sustainability.
Active involvement of civil society organizations (CSOs) is vital for realizing the Green Agenda across the Western Balkans. EU4Green aims to boost CSOs’ technical know-how on environmental sustainability pillars, fostering their inclusion in political decision-making.
Through collaboration, EU4Green seeks to empower CSOs, amplify their voices, and drive green initiatives for a sustainable future in the region.
We congratulate the World NGO Day to all the non-governmental organizations around the globe which are committed to creating a better, greener world for all!
