With the goal of capacity building for local authorities, the third and final module of the regional online training was provided by the Climate Bond Initiative.

The last module of the multi-phased, progressive, and comprehensive training programme based on market insights, policy awareness, and specialized knowledge on sustainable debt, was aimed at equipping the group of 30 representatives from public authorities from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, and North Macedonia with the tools and clarity required to integrate sustainability into their decision-making processes for green transitioning. The objectives of this module were: (i) to gain an overview of the market’s understanding of the transition concept and emerging transition planning priorities (just transition, nature positive transition, etc.); (ii) to explore the principles and requirements necessary for a robust, ambitious, and credible transition plan.

Throughout the whole three-modular training programme, the participants had a chance to provide feedback and indicate themes in which support from EU4Green experts would be appreciated and needed. These themes include taxonomy development, policy change and implementation and coordination with other governmental institutions and decision-makers.
