On May 13, 2026, EU4Green hosted an online technical workshop dedicated to the advancement of Kosovo’s legal framework for environmental preservation.

The session focused on a comprehensive compliance check of the current draft Law on Nature Protection to ensure its alignment with the EU Acquis Communautaire.

To facilitate this process, EU4Green engaged international expert Mr. Petr Roth, who provided a detailed assessment of the draft law.

During the meeting, Mr. Roth presented his findings, offering strategic comments and suggestions for improvement to the Kosovo interministerial working group responsible for the legislation.

This collaborative dialogue is essential for finalizing a law that meets high international standards. The discussions will conclude in a follow-up online workshop scheduled for May 21, 2026, where the working group and the expert will finalize the recommendations to be integrated into the legal text.
