The recording of the EU4Green webinar “EU Financing for the Private Sector in the Western Balkans” is now available on the EU4Green website.

The webinar aimed to raise awareness of financing opportunities for environmental and green projects in the Western Balkans, with a particular focus on the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF) and EU-supported financing programmes available to the private and public sectors.

During the session, participants gained practical insights into:

  • WBIF activities and available EU financing instruments for environmental projects,
  • real-life practice examples and lessons learned,
  • key success factors for accessing and effectively using EU financing in the region.

The webinar was designed for private and public sector representatives interested in developing and financing environmental and sustainability-oriented projects. It brought together 65 participants and featured an interactive and lively Q&A session with guest experts Anja Nagel (WBIF) and Tolga Nazmi Tuncer (European Investment Bank).

The session was concluded by Sabine Fritz, Environment Agency Austria, who provided an overview of the topic and key takeaways for future engagement.

This webinar forms part of EU4Green’s ongoing efforts to strengthen capacities, promote access to green finance, and support the implementation of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans.
