EU4Green held its second regional workshop in Tirana, bringing together institutions and experts from all six Western Balkan economies to strengthen implementation of the EU Nitrates Directive.
The workshop focused on five key topics:

• Surface and groundwater monitoring
• Designation of Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZs)
• Codes of Good Agricultural Practice (CGAP)
• Action Programmes
• Reporting and evaluation

Participants exchanged experiences and reviewed newly developed training materials and tools, including a Livestock Manure Calculator and a Codes of Good Agricultural Practice brochure, both tailored to economy-specific contexts and practical needs in the region.
