The recording and slides from the webinar “Financing the Circular Economy,” organised by the Environment Agency Austria within the EU4Green initiative, are now available in the project materials.

The webinar brought together experts from the financial sector, regional practitioners, and public-sector actors involved in developing, investing in, and implementing Circular Economy (CE) projects across the Western Balkans. Participants gained insights into how the financial sector approaches CE financing, which sources of information are used, and which types of projects are already receiving support.

Why this matters

The transition to a circular economy is a key pillar of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans. By addressing waste, resource efficiency, and value-chain redesign, Circular Economy projects can attract investment, reduce environmental impact, and strengthen regional resilience.
The webinar materials now provide a valuable resource for project developers, financial institutions, and government agencies to deepen their work and scale up green financing.
