EU4Green participated in the Donor Coordination Meeting on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, organised by the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) in Dubrovnik. The meeting took place back-to-back with the Second Annual Ministerial Meeting on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans and gathered key donors and financial institutions, including the European Commission, EIB, EBRD and KfW.

EU4Green Green Finance Lead, Olga Zhminko, moderated the session on financing the green transition, focusing on the approaches and tools available to support policy reforms, capacity building, and sustainable investments across the region. The session explored:

• Institutional support for Green Agenda implementation
• Examples of regional project financing, including energy efficiency and green cities
• Strengthening donor coordination for impactful and scalable investments

In addition, the EU4Green photo exhibition “The Greenest Examples of the Western Balkans” was showcased during the official ministerial dinner on the eve of the event, bringing attention to local initiatives and inspiring stories of environmental protection throughout the region.

Through its active contribution, EU4Green continues to support cooperation and alignment of financial and strategic efforts needed to accelerate the green transition in the Western Balkans.
